Specification

Once management has authorised the project, full specifications for program will have to be completed. We will need to work with one or more staff members who understand all the requirements of the program. It is imperative that staff members have the time allocated for this stage of the plan, otherwise a lot of time and money will be wasted if the specifications are incorrect.

Prototype Phase

User interface screens will be designed and presented to management. This stage will give management an idea of how the program will look and feel to the user.

Programming Phase

Program coding will be completed.

Testing

The software program will undergo a number of tests to check integrity.

Implementation & Training

The program will be installed and users will be trained. If the new system is replacing an old or manual system, then both systems will need to be run in parallel for a few months to further check integrity of new system.
